Next Steps

We are all on a discipleship journey and we always have a next step to take.  It could be getting baptised, learning more about Jesus, joining a group, serving, learning how to lead, discovering gifts or being trained in giftings. At Citipointe, our Next Steps are the pathway to see people move forward in their relationship with Jesus. Next Steps happen throughout the year across our locations so head to the Yes Bar on a Sunday or head to your Location page for more information or email nextsteps@citipointechurch.com

Discipleship

GO THEREFORE AND MAKE DISCIPLES OF ALL THE NATIONS, BAPTIZING THEM IN THE NAME OF THE FATHER AND OF THE SON AND OF THE HOLY SPIRIT. (MATTHEW 28:19)

A CITIPOINTE DISCIPLE LOOKS LIKE THIS:

Share your Story

Revelation 12:11 declares that  ‘They defeated him through the blood of the Lamb and the bold word of their testimony…’  Hearing the miraculous signs and wonders of Jesus encourages others and builds faith in the body of Christ.  Share your story with us at (email) so that we can be excited with you!

Then I will declare the wonder of Your name to my brothers and sisters. I will praise You among all Your people. — Psalms 22:22 NLT

Groups

xxx

AT CITIPOINTE, WE BELIEVE THE MOST EFFECTIVE DISCIPLESHIP TAKES PLACE IN GROUPS.

Groups come in all shapes and sizes and are a great way for you to stay connected into church life. Sometimes it’s hard to fit in and make friends, no matter if you belong to a small church or a big one like Citipointe. Therefore, we value Groups as a way for you to get planted in church, meet new people and be around like-minded people who will help you grow in your Christian walk, who will inspire you, encourage and challenge you.

Groups can take the form of a weekly mother’s group, a monthly book club, a fortnightly bible study group, a monthly picnic. Whatever you need to suit your time and place in life, we’d like to help you get connected. If you’re at church on a Sunday, please come visit our Yes Desk. Or, you can email nextsteps@citipointechurch.com to enquire about groups.

Baptisms

Water Baptisms

Baptism is a sign of a changed IDENTITY.  Baptism is a public demonstration of your salvation. In the waters of baptism you are symbolically passing through Christ’s death, burial and resurrection and entering into a new measure of life in God. Through this process we supernaturally receive newness of life, a life that can be lived for the glory of the Father.  Head to a Citipointe Location page to find out about the next Water Baptism Date.

Holy Spirit Baptisms

Do not leave Jerusalem, but wait for the gift my Father promised, which you have heard me speak about. For John baptized with water, but in a few days you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit… you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you . . . Acts 1:4-5

The Holy Spirit is the third divine person of the Trinity, whose ministry to bear witness of Jesus. The Holy Spirit gives the power to live and share the abundant life which Jesus promised to all who trust and obey Him.  We need the Holy Spirit for the “fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, gentleness, goodness, faithfulness and self control.” (Galatians 5:22-23)

Head to your Citipointe Location page or Yes Desk to find out about the next Holy Spirit Baptism Date.

Serve

Serve

Serving is about making a difference. This is where we reach past ourselves and get involved in Kingdom purposes outworked through the local church. It is the giving of our time, talents and treasure to see more of His Kingdom come to Earth.  We have something for everyone from Sunday Services, events or weekdays.

Where do I start?

Begin by asking yourself, “What am I passionate about?” What issue or people group really catches your interest? What problem or issue would you like to solve? Next, consider how God has uniquely wired you. Consider your personality, skills, abilities, and life experiences .  How could these help you make a meaningful contribution in the lives of others?
